Europeana Newspapers Project started its second year

The project meeting at the National Library of France (BnF) was the closure and internal review of the first twelve months of the project. All work package leaders presented the work that had been done up to month twelve and the outlook for the coming year. Project partners were inspired to give their input for the following year.

Open Education Week at the University Library

University Library "Svetozar Markovic" is participating in the first international Open Education Week from March 11 to 15, 2013 by organizing education for all interested citizens on possibilities of using free educational tools and services provided by some of the world's greatest universities. Training will be held every day at 1 pm on the first floor of the Library.

Banning of the books in occupied Serbia 1941-1944

The University Library "Svetozar Markovic" opened an exibition and published a book "Banning of the books in occupied Serbia 1941-1944", based on archival materials and documents kept in the library.

Adam Sofronijevic and Predrag Dukic - Belgrade's Best Librarians in 2012

Each year on January 11 Belgrade City Library awards the best librarian in the City of Belgrade for notable achievements in library and information science. This year the award “Marija Ilic Agapova” was equally awarded to Adam Sofronijevic, Head of the Development and System Administration, Digitization and Cultural Activities Department, University Library "Svetozar Marković" and Predrag Dukic, Assistant director at Belgrade City Library
